Family Physician – Primary Care Provider

About the role

Seva Medical is seeking a dedicated Family Physician to join its Calgary clinic. You will provide comprehensive primary‑care services to individuals and families, ensuring high‑quality medical care across a broad spectrum of health needs.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and document medical information from patients, families, and other health professionals.
• Examine patients to diagnose diseases, injuries, and health conditions.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, X‑rays, and other diagnostic procedures.
• Prescribe medications, develop treatment plans, and perform routine surgeries.
• Provide acute and emergency care, as well as chronic disease management.
• Offer counseling and support on lifestyle, wellness, and preventive health.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate physical and mental health.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD, DDS, DVM, or OD) with licensure in Alberta.
• College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP) and Licentiate of the Medical Council of Canada (LMCC).
• Successful completion of MCCQE I and II.
• 1–2 years of clinical experience in a family‑medicine setting.
• Ability to work evenings, mornings, and shift schedules as needed.
