Family Physician – Full-Time, Part-Time, or Locum

About the role

The Minto-Mapleton Family Health Organization is seeking family physicians to join a collaborative rural team in Palmerston, Ontario. Positions are available on a full‑time, part‑time, or locum basis, allowing flexibility to match individual career goals.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive longitudinal family medicine to a diverse patient population.
• Ensure same‑day and urgent access for patients through office and clinic hours.
• Participate in team‑based care with other physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals.
• Contribute to emergency department coverage under an Alternate Funding Agreement.
• Engage in optional activities such as inpatient care, long‑term care, obstetrics, surgical assisting, GP‑anesthesia, teaching, and quality improvement.

Required profile

• Medical degree and active licensure to practice in Ontario.
• Commitment to patient‑centred care in a rural community.
• Willingness to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Interest in expanding scope of practice based on personal strengths and community needs.

Required skills

• Clinical competence in family medicine.
• Ability to manage acute and chronic conditions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
