Family Physician (Full-time)

About the role

We are seeking a full-time Family Physician to join WELL Health Clinic Network’s Aspen Glen location in Calgary. The physician will deliver comprehensive primary-care services to patients of all ages in an outpatient setting and, when authorized, via virtual care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, obtain medical histories and perform physical examinations.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions, including mental health concerns.
• Provide health promotion, disease prevention, chronic disease management and episodic care across the lifespan.
• Order, perform and interpret diagnostic tests and coordinate follow-up care.
• Utilise the WELL digital platform, including EMR, practice-management and telehealth tools, to document care and engage patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in urgent care, long-term care, home care, hospital and community settings as needed.

Required profile

• Medical degree and full licensure to practice family medicine in Alberta.
• Board certification or eligibility in family medicine.
• Experience delivering primary-care services in an outpatient environment.
• Commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous learning.
• Additional focused training (e.g., emergency medicine, geriatrics, palliative care) is an asset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems.
• Experience using practice-management software.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms for virtual patient care.
