Family Physician – CFB Gagetown Clinic (Full/Part‑time)

About the role

Calian is seeking a Family Physician to join the multidisciplinary team at the CFB Gagetown medical clinic. The role involves delivering comprehensive primary health care to Canadian Armed Forces members, with flexible full‑time or part‑time schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct medical fitness assessments for duty, including pre‑ and post‑deployment, periodic health assessments, and hazardous occupation evaluations.
• Diagnose and treat occupational and environmental injuries and illnesses, providing rehabilitation as needed.
• Establish and manage Medical Employment Limitations, recommend sick leave, and adjust medical categories in line with policies.
• Maintain accurate occupational health records using the Electronic Health Record system.
• Provide primary medical care for acute and chronic conditions and coordinate referrals to specialists when appropriate.

Required profile

• Provincial medical licence for the practice location.
• Certification in Family Medicine (CCFP) from the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
• Basic Life Support for Health Providers or CPR/AED Level C certification.
• Minimum one year of experience in ambulatory primary care, occupational medicine, urgent care, or emergency medicine (new graduates may be considered).

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR/AED Level C.
• Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
