Family Physician – Anesthesia (Locum & Part‑Time)

About the role

Groves Memorial Community Hospital is seeking a Family Physician with anesthesia expertise for locum and regular part‑time work starting July 2025. The 55‑bed facility serves the communities of Elora and Fergus and offers a diverse clinical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia services for General Surgery, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Orthopedics, ENT, Pediatric Dental, Endoscopy, and Labour & Delivery cases.
• Participate in on‑call coverage (currently 1 in 6) at Groves Memorial.
• Extend anesthesia support to nearby sites in Mount Forest and Palmerston, covering additional specialties such as Urology.
• Contribute to the Anesthesia Pre‑op Clinic, Block Room, and PICC line insertions.
• Optionally combine the role with Emergency Room, Hospitalist, or Family Medicine duties.

Required profile

• Board‑certified Family Physician with formal anesthesia training.
• Willingness to work part‑time and/or locum schedules.
• Ability to provide comprehensive peri‑operative care across multiple specialties.
