About the role
Our client, a busy family law boutique serving Simcoe County, is seeking a motivated Associate to join their practice. The role focuses on providing comprehensive family law services to clients in Barrie, Collingwood and remote locations, with the flexibility to work from home while having access to office facilities when needed.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload of family law matters, including divorce, child custody, support and property division.
- Conduct case conferences and settlement negotiations independently.
- Prepare and file court documents, motions and pleadings in accordance with provincial rules.
- Provide clear legal advice and maintain regular communication with clients.
- Collaborate with senior partners and support staff to ensure timely case progression.
Required profile
- Minimum of two years’ experience practising family law in Ontario.
- Demonstrated ability to handle case and settlement conferences without supervision.
- Strong understanding of Ontario family law statutes and procedural rules.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Professional, client‑focused approach.
