Experienced Plastic Designer (Automotive)

About the role

We are seeking an Experienced Plastic Designer to join our automotive team in Valcourt. You will play a key role in developing body and interior plastic components, ensuring they meet functional, aesthetic, and manufacturability requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and track multiple plastic part design projects from concept to delivery.
• Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models for body and interior components using Catia V5/V6.
• Produce, modify, and maintain engineering drawings of plastic part surfaces.
• Develop assembly strategies and design mounting points that facilitate production.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to guarantee part feasibility.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in plastic part design, preferably within the automotive sector.
• Strong organizational skills, autonomy, and ability to handle several projects simultaneously.
• Team‑player mindset with experience in collaborative, cross‑functional environments.
• Flexible on‑site presence (approximately one day per week in Valcourt).
• Excellent spoken and written English for meetings, presentations, and documentation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Catia V5/V6 for 2D and 3D design.
