Events Manager

About the role

We are looking for an Events Manager to lead the planning and execution of weddings, conferences, retreats and special events at our year‑round resort in Ucluelet. Working closely with the Sales Manager, you will be the primary client contact from booking through event completion, ensuring seamless delivery and exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate all event details from booking handoff through completion.
• Develop banquet event orders, timelines, room setup plans and operational details.
• Lead execution of weddings, conferences, retreats, meetings and holiday parties.
• Collaborate with culinary, housekeeping, maintenance, front desk and other departments.
• Recruit, train, schedule and supervise banquet and event service staff.
• Manage staffing levels, timesheets, payroll and labour scheduling.
• Oversee banquet setups, service execution and event breakdowns.
• Maintain food and beverage service standards and resolve guest requests.
• Conduct post‑event reviews and identify improvement opportunities.
