Event Ambassador – Christmas Market

About the role

The Event Ambassador will represent the BC Parks Foundation at the Shipyards Christmas Market in North Vancouver from November 27 to December 24, 2026. You will help raise funds through merchandise sales, increase brand awareness, and ensure smooth operation of the event booth. Consistent availability, including evenings and weekends, is required.

Key responsibilities

• Represent BC Parks Foundation at the Shipyards Christmas Market and provide excellent customer service.
• Process merchandise sales, manage inventory, and ensure the booth is well‑stocked and organized.
• Assist with event setup, material transport, and post‑event wrap‑up tasks.
• Coordinate with the Retail Operations Manager on stock levels and support administrative duties such as permits and sales tracking.

Required profile

• Energetic, positive, friendly and approachable with a proactive attitude.
• Adaptable, able to work independently in a fast‑paced, outdoor event environment.
• Dependable, able to work evenings, weekends and holiday dates without direct supervision.

Required skills

• Strong customer service and verbal communication skills.
• Basic math for handling transactions accurately.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
