Equipment & Systems Buyer – Wheels & Braking Systems

About the role

Airbus is looking for an Equipment & Systems Buyer specialized in wheels and braking systems to join its A220 commercial aircraft program procurement team in Mirabel, Quebec. You will work closely with the Airbus purchasing team in Filton (UK) to develop sourcing strategies, manage contracts, and drive cost‑reduction initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the purchase portfolio and end‑to‑end procurement process for wheels and braking systems.
• Coordinate and lead cross‑functional (sub‑MFT) teams to ensure timely delivery and quality.
• Administer supplier contracts and monitor performance against agreed KPIs.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies that support cost‑reduction targets.
• Collaborate with Airbus teams in Mirabel and Filton to align sourcing activities with program objectives.

Required profile

• Experience in aerospace or other industrial sectors.
• Background in purchasing and/or supply chain management.
• Ability to work in a collaborative, autonomous environment.
• Strong communication skills in English (French is a plus).
