Environmental Professional – Planning & Reclamation/Remediation

About the role

H3M Environmental Ltd. is looking for an Intermediate Environmental Professional to support planning, reclamation, and remediation projects across Southern Saskatchewan. The position blends field work with office‑based analysis, offering hands‑on experience under senior mentorship.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in conducting environmental site assessments, remediation, and reclamation activities in the field.
• Perform environmental monitoring, inspections, and prepare Acknowledgement of Reclamation (AOR) documentation.
• Support senior staff with data collection, analysis, interpretation, and preparation of field reports.
• Help compile and file environmental permit applications and maintain accurate field records.
• Stay informed on Alberta and Saskatchewan environmental regulations and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Required profile

• University degree or diploma in environmental science, biology, agrology, or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in environmental consulting or field work (internships or volunteer work accepted).
• Strong interest in field‑based assessments and ability to work in remote, challenging conditions.
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.

Required skills

• Environmental monitoring and field data collection.
• Preparation of scientific and technical reports.
• Understanding of environmental regulations in Alberta and Saskatchewan (asset).
