Entry Level Diamond Sorter (Production Assistant)

About the role

Spence Diamonds is seeking an entry‑level Diamond Sorter to join its studio team in Vancouver. This temporary four‑month position provides leave‑coverage support and involves sorting small diamonds for customer orders.

Key responsibilities

• Manage small‑diamond inventory and ensure accuracy.
• Prepare daily shipments, receive and ship diamonds.
• Sort diamonds by weight and dimensions using tweezers, sieves, loupe and precision measuring instruments.
• Read work orders to determine required sizes and measure diamonds accordingly.
• Enter inventory and shipment data into Microsoft Excel.

Required profile

• Highly organized, detail‑oriented and efficient with time.
• Ability to multitask, set priorities and work within a team.
• Strong work ethic and clear verbal and written communication.
• Legal eligibility to work full‑time in Canada.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Required skills

• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

What we offer

• Compensation at $20 per hour (CAD).
• Fixed‑term, four‑month contract.
• Full‑time schedule from Sunday to Thursday.
