Enterprise Solutions Engineer - Ottawa

About the role

NetApp is looking for an Enterprise Solutions Engineer based in the Ottawa metro area. The position is remote but requires being based in Ottawa to support customers and partners across the territory. You will own the technical relationship with customers and partner closely with your Client Executive to drive business outcomes, covering both existing accounts and new opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead and trusted advisor across enterprise accounts in your territory
• Partner with Enterprise Client Executives to build strategy, develop pipeline and close business
• Build relationships with channel partners and partner SEs, co-selling and co-strategizing in the field
• Run deep discovery sessions to uncover business challenges, technical gaps and future-state goals
• Architect and configure solutions across the NetApp portfolio (ONTAP, SAN, NAS, block, file, hybrid cloud, data protection)
• Manage multiple deals at once, from new logos to long-cycle strategic accounts, and drive protect-and-expand motions
• Engage customers on AI readiness, data strategy, hybrid cloud and disaster recovery
• Work with Solutions Architects, Engineering and Professional Services, and share insights on industry trends

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solutions engineering or systems engineering in a quota-driven environment
• Proven success with enterprise or Fortune 1000 customers in complex sales cycles
• Experience designing and configuring solutions in customer environments and managing several deals at once
• Experience working with channel partners and partner SEs
• Strong discovery, communication and presentation skills
• Based in the Ottawa metro area

Required skills

• Infrastructure technologies, storage and storage-adjacent solutions
• On-premise SAN, NAS, block and file environments and their integration
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud, virtualization platforms and data protection/disaster recovery

What we offer

• Target OTE of 214,200 - 277,200 CAD, depending on location, qualifications and experience
