Engineering Technician (Mechanical)

About the role

The Mechanical Engineering Technician will join the Facility and Infrastructure Management Department within the Facility and Plant Planning Division. You will support the design, maintenance and optimisation of mechanical systems, tooling and utilities across the plant.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse mechanical engineering problems and economic factors to redesign tooling, fixtures, utilities and subsystems.
• Collect data and test results, troubleshoot issues and plan corrective actions for mechanical equipment.
• Maintain preventive‑maintenance programmes for equipment, components and systems.
• Develop drawings and sketches for equipment modifications, new designs and part manufacturing.
• Modify technical procedures related to material management, procurement, inspection or manufacturing.

Required profile

• Technical background in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Experience with troubleshooting mechanical systems and implementing design changes.
• Ability to produce clear technical drawings and documentation.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
