Engineering Manager – PCBA Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the PCBA manufacturing process, ensuring stability, efficiency and on‑time delivery for our products. The role combines hands‑on troubleshooting, strategic capacity planning and stakeholder management across the factory floor.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate with floor supervisors to identify issues and deploy technical resources to minimise equipment downtime.
• Participate in daily status meetings to align engineering priorities with production goals and volume targets.
• Direct, mentor and develop a team of Process Engineers and student interns.
• Support new product introductions (NPI) and drive short‑term tactical improvements.
• Develop and execute long‑term manufacturing strategies to improve scalability and technology.
• Conduct capacity and shift planning to ensure equipment and personnel meet planned volumes.
• Prepare business cases for new equipment, manage CapEx qualification plans and oversee execution.
• Lead technical escalations for customer‑facing issues, providing updates and timelines.
• Maintain safety and compliance with OSHA standards across equipment and processes.

Required profile

• 6‑8 years of experience in PCBA manufacturing (SMT, Reflow, AOI, etc.).
• 2‑3 years in a formal people‑leadership role managing engineering staff.
• Proven ability to handle high‑pressure escalations and communicate technical delays professionally.
• Strong analytical skills for capacity modelling and financial justification of capital equipment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
