Engineering Laborer

About the role

Join the luxury hospitality team at Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge as an Engineering Laborer. You will support the engineering department in maintaining the resort’s facilities, ensuring guests enjoy a safe and memorable stay in the Canadian Rockies.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain standard operational vehicles such as pickup trucks, garbage trucks, forklifts, and skyreach lifts.
• Safely use hand tools, chainsaws, hoists, rigging materials, and log splitters for routine maintenance tasks.
• Deploy ladders and scaffolding equipment to access mechanical rooms, vaults, and storage areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of mechanical rooms, vaults, and storage areas while following safety and sanitation policies.
• Provide backup support for sanitation duties as needed.
• Adhere to hotel vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel vehicles.

Required profile

• High school diploma or technical school education.
• Previous laborer or maintenance experience in a hospitality or similar environment.
• Excellent physical condition and ability to work safely in confined spaces.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and ensure co‑workers follow safety practices.
• Valid Alberta driver’s licence.
