Cook / Chef – Opportunities in Canada

About the role

Hirez Manpower Solutions Inc. is recruiting qualified culinary professionals for hospitality employers across Canada. The positions are full‑time, long‑term and open to candidates currently based in Mauritius or elsewhere. Francophone candidates are strongly encouraged to apply, with potential eligibility for the Francophone Mobility Program.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes following recipes, menus and portion standards.
• Assist with mise en place, food preparation, garnishing and plating.
• Maintain consistency in taste, quality and presentation while adhering to food safety, hygiene and sanitation requirements.
• Store, label and rotate ingredients properly and support inventory management.
• Keep a clean, organized and safe workstation and collaborate with chefs and kitchen team members during busy service periods.

Required profile

• Previous professional experience as a Cook, Chef, Line Cook, Chef de Partie, Commis de Cuisine or similar role.
• Knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques and experience in a commercial kitchen.
• Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Reliability, professionalism, strong work ethic and willingness to adapt to Canadian workplace standards.
