Engineering Candidate – Water & Wastewater Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a recent engineering graduate to join our Water & Wastewater department in Barrie. The role offers hands‑on experience designing and implementing treatment facilities while working alongside seasoned professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with design and implementation of water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, asset inventory reviews, hydrant flow/C‑factor testing and hydraulic modeling.
• Prepare design calculations, reports, cost estimates, tender documents, specifications and construction contract documents.
• Support project coordination, submission of approval applications and construction inspections.
• Assist with contract administration, including RFQs, change orders and invoicing.
• Interact with clients and external parties to meet project needs.

Required profile

• Degree in an engineering program and eligibility for PEO registration in Ontario.
• 1–3 years of relevant engineering experience (co‑op included).
• Strong communication, analytical and teamwork abilities.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with design and analysis software for water and wastewater projects.
• Hydraulic modeling experience.
• Microsoft Office Suite.
