Emergency Medicine Physician – Full Time

About the role

Join a dedicated team at Langley Memorial Hospital’s new Emergency Department, serving the fast‑growing community of Langley, BC. As an Emergency Medicine Physician you will provide high‑quality, timely care to a diverse patient population in a modern, fully equipped facility.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive emergency medical assessment, treatment, and disposition for acute patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nursing, surgery, ICU, and specialty services.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and ensure 24/7 coverage of the emergency department.
• Utilize diagnostic imaging (CT, MRI) and laboratory services to guide patient management.
• Contribute to quality improvement, education, and community health initiatives.

Required profile

• Board‑eligible or board‑certified in Emergency Medicine (FRCPC or CCFP‑EM).
• Current licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) – full, provisional, or eligible for full license.

• Willingness to work full‑time in an onsite hospital setting.

Required skills

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
• FRCPC – Emergency Medicine.
• CCFP – Emergency Medicine.
• CPSBC full registration or provisional eligibility.
• USA certification (if applicable).
