Emergency Medicine Physician – Fraser Canyon Hospital

About the role

The Fraser Canyon Department of Emergency Medicine is seeking a full‑time and/or part‑time physician (CCFP with or without additional Emergency Medicine training) to provide 24/7 emergency care at Fraser Canyon Hospital, a 16‑bed community facility located in Hope, BC.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver emergency stabilization, triage and acute care around the clock.
• Manage patients in a rural setting with frequent travelers and geographic isolation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient flow and quality care.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and support hospice services as needed.

Required profile

• FRCPC (Emergency Medicine), CCFP‑EM, or ABEM certification.
• Eligibility for provisional licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC); CPSBC USA‑certified registration accepted.
• Current ACLS, ATLS and PALS certifications.
