Emergency Medicine Physician – Fraser Canyon Hospital

About the role

The Fraser Canyon Department of Emergency Medicine is recruiting a full‑time and/or part‑time physician (CCFP +/- EM trained) to provide emergency care at Fraser Canyon Hospital, a 16‑bed rural community hospital near Hope, BC.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 24/7 emergency care stabilization and triage for patients and travelers.
• Manage hospice beds and related services as needed.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high‑quality patient care in a geographically isolated setting.

Required profile

• FRCPC (Emergency Medicine), CCFP‑EM, or ABEM certification.
• Eligibility for provisional licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC); CPSBC USA‑certified class acceptable.
• Current ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certifications.

Required skills

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
