Emergency Medicine Expert – Remote Consulting for AI Research

About the role

A leading research organization is seeking board‑certified Emergency Medicine physicians and senior trainees to help shape advanced AI models for acute care. This fully remote, contract‑based engagement involves creating realistic clinical scenarios, reviewing model outputs, and providing feedback that directly influences system behavior.

Key responsibilities

• Design high‑fidelity prompts and scenarios covering triage, undifferentiated presentations, resuscitation, procedural sedation, and disposition decisions.
• Author attending‑level “golden” reference responses to set quality benchmarks.
• Evaluate and grade model‑generated answers against structured clinical rubrics.
• Provide detailed written feedback used by the research team to refine model behavior.
• Participate in onboarding office hours and specialty calibration sessions.

Required profile

• Attending physicians who are board‑certified with a current, active, unrestricted medical license.
• Final‑year EM residents (board‑eligible) or fellows with an active license.
• EM/IM or EM/Peds dual‑boarded physicians and EM medical directors are strongly welcomed.
• Must be able to engage as an independent contractor; H‑1B and STEM‑OPT candidates cannot be supported.

Required skills

• Clinical expertise in Emergency Medicine, including triage, resuscitation, and procedural sedation.
