Elementary Tutor – In‑Person Private Tutor (Part‑time Contract)

About the role

Prep Academy Tutors of Simcoe & Grey County is seeking enthusiastic elementary tutors to provide in‑person, one‑on‑one support for students in Collingwood, Ontario. Tutors will deliver customized sessions aligned with the Ontario curriculum, helping learners from Kindergarten through Grade 12 achieve academic success.

Key responsibilities

• Provide academic support based on expertise and alignment with the Ontario curriculum standards.
• Design and deliver customized tutoring sessions in a variety of subjects.
• Offer remedial or enrichment instruction based on each student’s needs.
• Assign supplemental materials to enhance understanding and retention.
• Maintain open communication with parents/guardians to report on student progress and goals.

Required profile

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree and meet at least one of the listed criteria (teaching certificate, enrollment in certification program, 2+ years teaching experience, lecturing experience, or graduate teaching assistantship).
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and committed to providing exceptional, personalized instruction and customer service.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to adapt to diverse learning styles.
• Professional, punctual, and organized.
