Middle School Tutor

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Middle School Tutor to provide one‑on‑one in‑person tutoring in Collingwood, Ontario. You will support students across a range of subjects, aligning instruction with the Ontario curriculum and tailoring sessions to individual learning styles.

Key responsibilities

• Provide academic support based on expertise and alignment with Ontario curriculum standards.
• Design and deliver customized tutoring sessions in a variety of subjects.
• Offer remedial or enrichment instruction based on each student’s needs.
• Assign supplemental materials to enhance understanding and retention.
• Maintain open communication with parents/guardians to report on student progress and goals.

Required profile

• Energetic and enthusiastic about helping students learn and grow.
• Committed to providing exceptional, personalized instruction and customer service.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to a wide range of learning styles and student needs.
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree and meet at least one of the following: valid Ontario teaching certificate, enrollment in a teacher certification program, 2+ years teaching experience, lecturer experience, or graduate student with teaching‑assistant experience.
