Dump Truck Driver – Mountain Routes

About the role

We are looking for a Dump Truck Driver to operate mountain routes, load and unload construction materials, and ensure safe transport of cargo for our projects in Surrey.

Key responsibilities

• Drive straight or articulated dump trucks on mountain roads, handling loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• Load and unload goods, tarp cargo, and record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption.
• Perform pre‑trip, en‑route and post‑trip inspections, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and oversee vehicle condition.
• Ensure safety and security of cargo during transport.
• Maintain accurate logs of trips and fuel consumption.

Required profile

• Valid Class 1 or A driver’s licence.
• 1 to less than 7 months of relevant driving experience.
• Flexibility, organization, reliability and ability to work as a team player.
• Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, or day shifts as needed.

Required skills

• Mountain driving expertise.
• Dump truck operation and vehicle inspection.
• Preventive maintenance of heavy vehicles.
• Record keeping of cargo information and service logs.
