Dock Worker – Timmins

About the role

Manitoulin Transport is seeking a reliable Dock Worker to join its Timmins warehouse team. You will be responsible for moving freight efficiently, ensuring accurate documentation, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Unload freight from inbound trailers and load outbound trailers using electronic devices.
• Mark materials with identifying information and record quantities received or distributed.
• Count and, when required, weigh items to verify compliance with the shipper's bill of lading.
• Start heaters and placard trailers as needed.
• Arrange freight in a specified sequence to maximize trailer space utilization.
• Perform routine safety and housekeeping tasks such as sweeping floors and storing dunnage properly.
• Assist with additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Previous forklift experience.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb and perform repetitive tasks.
• Strong problem‑solving, critical‑thinking, and decision‑making abilities.
• Capacity to multitask and manage various responsibilities simultaneously.
• Willingness to learn and be trained on company procedures.
