Receiving Associate (Part-Time)

About the role

The Home Depot Canada is looking for a part‑time Receiving Associate to join the freight team in Timmins. You will be responsible for unloading inbound merchandise, verifying its accuracy, and moving it to the appropriate staging areas while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Unload trucks using electric pallet jacks, reach trucks, order pullers or forklifts.
• Check vendor packing slips, shipping documents and UPC labels against purchase orders.
• Enter receipt information into the store’s system (First Phone) and schedule deliveries.
• Identify and report damaged merchandise.
• Stock items onto shelves, build end caps and promotional displays.
• Maintain a clean receiving area by removing pallets, cardboard and disposing of trash.
• Communicate with freight and fulfillment team members to ensure accurate inventory placement.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to follow procedures and learn new systems quickly.
• Physical capability to lift and move merchandise safely.
• Team‑oriented mindset with good communication skills.

Required skills

• Licensed operation of electric pallet jack.
• Licensed operation of reach truck.
• Licensed operation of order puller.
• Licensed operation of forklift.
• Proficiency with the First Phone receiving system.
• Proficiency with the Order Fulfillment Application.

What we offer

• Hourly wage ranging from $20.10 to $21.85.
