Dock Worker – Calgary

About the role

This permanent, union‑backed position is based at Fastfrate’s Calgary dock facility. You will be responsible for loading, unloading and moving freight safely and accurately during the evening shift.

Key responsibilities

• Load, unload and move product and materials to and from trailers and containers on the dock.
• Operate equipment such as forklifts, clamp trucks, dollies and hand trucks.
• Inspect equipment before and during the shift.
• Verify the accuracy of received and shipped products.
• Break down skids and build smaller orders for customer delivery when required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Report any safety incidents promptly.

Required profile

• Willingness to work the scheduled shift (Sunday‑Thursday, 3:00 pm‑11:30 pm).
• Physical ability to lift and move freight safely.
• Commitment to safety procedures and accurate documentation.

Required skills

• Forklift operation.
• Clamp truck operation.
• Use of dollies and hand trucks.
• Equipment inspection.
