Divisional Quality Control Lead – Midstream Division

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Divisional Quality Control Lead to head the quality program for our Midstream division in Edmonton. Reporting to the Vice‑President, Midstream and Mining and working closely with the Group Quality Control Manager, you will ensure that all construction activities meet project specifications, codes and industry standards.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and standardise quality procedures, including ITPs and PSQPs, and integrate them with client requirements.
- Act as the technical subject‑matter expert on welding, coating and hydro‑testing methodologies for internal teams and clients.
- Conduct field inspections, quality‑assurance checks and audits across operational sites, fabrication shop and corporate office.
- Mentor and coordinate site QC personnel, ensuring adherence to OCL standards.
- Review RFPs and quality requirements during bid preparation and create corresponding quality plans.
- Ensure subcontractors are fully integrated into the company’s quality management system.
- Interpret civil and piping drawings, general arrangements and P&IDs to verify compliance.
Required profile
- Minimum 10 years of industrial quality‑control experience, including pressure‑piping projects.
- Strong background in mechanical, civil and midstream construction.
- Professional engineering designation (P.Eng) or Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T) is an asset.
- Relevant certifications such as CWB Level 2/3 and NACE Level 2/3 are highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety.
