Dishwasher – Full-time/Part-time Position

About the role

We are looking for a reliable dishwasher to join Maid Marians Diner in Charlottetown. The position involves cleaning, sanitising and maintaining kitchen equipment in a fast‑paced restaurant environment. You will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure all dishes, glassware and utensils are ready for service. You will also be responsible for ensuring all cleaning products are stored safely and that health‑safety standards are consistently met.

Key responsibilities

• Load and operate dishwashers, wash dishes, glassware and flatware, and place them in storage.
• Clean and sanitise kitchen surfaces, equipment, carts, mats and waste disposal units.
• Manually scour pots and pans, and hand‑wash items as required.
• Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand.
• Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs.
• Stock refrigerators, salad bars and handle food portioning and wrapping.
• Sweep, mop, polish floors and manage kitchen garbage.

Required profile

• Ability to handle heavy loads up to 23 kg and stand for extended periods.
• Reliability, teamwork, multitasking and a positive attitude.
• Bondable and possess own transportation.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures.

Required skills

• Safe Food Handling certification.
• WHMIS certification.
