Cook – Full-time Permanent Position

About the role

Join Cedars Eatery as a Cook, where you will prepare and cook a variety of Canadian, Lebanese, and international dishes while managing day‑to‑day kitchen operations. You will work in a fast‑paced environment, ensuring food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Determine portion sizes, calculate food costs, and plan menus to meet demand.
• Requisition food and kitchen supplies, maintain inventory records, and order equipment as needed.
• Prepare and cook complete meals, individual dishes, and special meals for customers with allergies or dietary restrictions.
• Inspect kitchen and food service areas to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Train and supervise kitchen staff and helpers, fostering teamwork and skill development.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, handling heavy loads and repetitive tasks.
• Manage kitchen operations, including scheduling, overtime, and shift coverage.
