Bar Service Waiter/Waitress – Charlottetown

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and reliable bar service waiter/waitress to join our team at Uptown Lounge in Charlottetown. The position involves serving food and beverages, handling payments, and delivering excellent customer service in a busy restaurant, pub and hotel setting.

Key responsibilities

• Mix and serve alcoholic beverages in compliance with legal age requirements.
• Address customer complaints or concerns promptly.
• Present bills and accept cash, credit/debit cards, travellers’ cheques or room billing.
• Describe menu items and daily specials to guests.
• Enforce provincial liquor legislation and regulations.
• Balance cash drawers and record sales accurately.
• Clear and clean tables, trays and chairs.
• Serve food and beverages and relay orders to kitchen and bar staff.
• Provide attentive customer service throughout the shift.

Required profile

• Legal age to serve alcohol.
• 1–2 years of experience in restaurant, pub or hotel service.
• Certificates: Food and Beverage Server Training, Responsible Beverage Service, Food Safety.
• Client‑focused with strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Flexible, organized, reliable and a team player.
