Director, Operations Support

About the role

As a member of the Trois‑Rivières factory management team, you will lead a group of HR professionals and be responsible for providing comprehensive support on labor relations, collective bargaining, community outreach, hiring, training, compensation and employee requests. This position plays a pivotal role in ensuring smooth operations within a unionized manufacturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the collective bargaining agreement, including grievances, negotiations and labor‑relations activities.
• Serve as the first point of contact for unionized and non‑unionized employee requests, ensuring timely follow‑up and resolution.
• Develop and execute a community‑relations strategy to strengthen ties with local colleges, universities and events, promoting Siemens Energy’s brand.
• Create and maintain procedures for hiring, onboarding, performance management, termination, retention, succession planning, benefits and health‑and‑safety cases.
• Coordinate with corporate HR, payroll and benefits teams for unionized employee administration.
• Participate actively in factory committees and support the broader management team.

Required profile

• A degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Industrial Relations, Administration or a related field.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in a unionized manufacturing environment.
• Proven leadership ability with experience in coaching, people development and team management.
• Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.
• Fluency in both French and English.
