Director of RUISSS at McGill University

About the role

The Director of the Réseau Universitaire Intégré de Santé et de Services Sociaux (RUISSS) at McGill University leads the integrated health and social services network, reporting to both the President of RUISSS and the Vice‑President of Health Affairs. The role ensures effective operation, strategic direction, and alignment with provincial health mandates.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement the strategic direction of RUISSS McGill.
• Support the President of RUISSS in executing Ministry of Health and Santé Québec mandates.
• Oversee operational activities, sub‑committees, and projects across the network.
• Lead and coordinate bodies such as the Steering Committee, Indigenous Affairs Table, and Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Health for Seniors.
• Supervise administrative functions, budget compliance, and communication strategies.
• Act as liaison with Santé Québec, MSSS, and affiliated institutions.
• Develop relationships with regional universities and other RUISSS networks in Québec.
• Represent RUISSS in conferences and serve as spokesperson to partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Extensive experience in health services administration or related leadership roles.
• Proven ability to manage large, complex networks and multi‑disciplinary teams.
• Strong knowledge of Quebec health system mandates and policies.
