Director of Facilities

About the role

Jetson is seeking a strategic, execution‑focused Director of Facilities to own and scale its physical footprint across the United States and Canada. Reporting to the CFO and partnering with Finance, Operations, and Field teams, you will ensure that every warehouse, office, and service hub is ready to support rapid growth while remaining cost‑effective and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end site selection, acquisition, market analysis, and zoning reviews for new locations.
• Negotiate commercial leases, LOIs, and licenses in coordination with legal counsel.
• Develop and manage a scalable playbook that brings sites from signed lease to operational status in minimal time.
• Build and maintain a national vendor network for cleaning, security, HVAC, electrical, landscaping, and general maintenance.
• Run RFP processes, contract negotiations, and ongoing vendor performance reviews, establishing SLAs and accountability frameworks.
• Manage facilities budgets, purchase orders, and invoice approvals.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations, preventive maintenance programs, and compliance with health, safety, and building codes in all jurisdictions.
• Coordinate workspace configuration, signage, equipment layout, and storage design for new and existing sites.
• Serve as primary contact for landlords, property managers, and insurance documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing multi‑site facilities operations in fast‑scaling environments.
• Strong negotiation and vendor‑relationship management skills.
• Ability to collaborate cross‑functionally with finance, operations, and field teams.
• Knowledge of US and Canadian building codes and regulatory requirements.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on cost efficiency and risk mitigation.
