Director of Events

About the role

Varicent is seeking a strategic Director of Events to own and drive the company’s global events program. You will shape the events roadmap, oversee both in‑person and virtual experiences, and ensure each initiative aligns with brand objectives and revenue goals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the annual and quarterly events calendar, recommending which events to host, attend, sponsor, expand, or discontinue.
• Set measurable goals for brand awareness, audience engagement, sales meetings, pipeline impact, customer retention, partner engagement, and attendee experience.
• Own the full event lifecycle—from strategy, budgeting, and logistics to execution, follow‑up, reporting, and continuous improvement.
• Create and manage detailed project plans, timelines, work‑back schedules, task lists, budgets, stakeholder updates, and post‑event analyses.
• Lead, coach, and support the events team to deliver high‑quality events on time and within budget.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading corporate event strategy and execution at a senior level.
• Strong track record of managing large‑scale in‑person and virtual events.
• Excellent budgeting, planning, and project‑management capabilities.
• Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders and influence senior leadership.
