Direct Procurement Analyst

About the role

Saputo is looking for a Direct Procurement Analyst to join its Procurement Team. The role focuses on the ingredient and packaging categories, supporting strategic sourcing and ensuring smooth supply chain operations across our food manufacturing sites.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate ingredient and packaging approvals, code creation, and supplier set‑ups.
• Maintain the departmental contract tracking system and supplier price lists.
• Manage invoice discrepancies and reconcile quarterly/annual supplier rebates.
• Coordinate with plants for updated forecasts and handle supply disruptions to avoid shutdowns.
• Collaborate with supplier quality, category leads, and manufacturing to reduce non‑conformance, resolve claims, and improve fulfillment rates.
• Perform financial analysis of RFPs, prepare weekly/monthly reports, and conduct forecast exercises.
• Create and improve KPIs for new and existing products and track performance.
• Follow up on sample deliveries for plant trials.
• Develop best‑practice procurement processes, spend analytics, and savings initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Procurement, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in a food manufacturing environment (preferred).
• Proficiency with PC and business software applications.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Experience reviewing bids and strong research‑driven analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication skills and bilingualism in French and English.
