Dietary Aide – Long Term Care (Part Time)

S&R Group is hiring a part-time Dietary Aide for its long-term care homes in Kitchener. The role helps serve residents during meal times and special events, contributing to a warm, welcoming culinary atmosphere. The position is listed as an upcoming vacancy.

Key responsibilities

• Greet residents and answer questions courteously and professionally
• Connect with residents before meals to ask about their day and upcoming events
• Serve attractive, nutritious meals while being mindful of special diets, textures and needs
• Help set up and clear the dining room and wash dishes
• Clean and sanitize the kitchen area
• Assist with food preparation as assigned
• Support the team and take part in special events such as recreation activities

Required profile

• Past experience in a healthcare, hospitality or restaurant setting
• Food Safety Awareness certification, with recertification every 5 years
• Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) completed within the past 6 months
• TB 2 Step test updated within the last year
