Line Cook - Ceci Bar

About the role

Oliver & Bonacini is hiring a Line Cook for its Ceci Bar in Toronto. The team is described as vibrant and fast-paced, serving guests with expertly crafted drinks and well-prepared food. The position is open to both part-time and full-time cooks.

Key responsibilities

• Perform delegated tasks from the Sous Chef, Chef and/or General Manager
• Prepare food for the event space each day according to O&B standards
• Follow recipes, portion controls and presentation specifications
• Maintain a prep list of station duties and follow the FIFO method to keep food fresh
• Assist with food inventory and control, and help receive and store deliveries
• Clean prep areas, equipment and utensils, and follow sanitation, food safety and hygiene guidelines
• Follow WHMIS and MSDS guidelines
• Other duties as assigned

Required profile

• 1-2 years of cooking experience in a fast-paced restaurant or event/catering environment
• Able to take direction and work calmly under pressure
• Able to stand 100% of the time
• Available weekends, evenings and holidays as needed
• Legally eligible to work in Canada

Required skills

• Basic understanding of professional cooking
• Knife handling skills
• Culinary diploma or degree is an asset
