About the role
We are looking for a Diesel Mechanic to join our maintenance team in Bolton. The role focuses on engine repair, troubleshooting, and ensuring diesel equipment operates safely and efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect and troubleshoot diesel equipment to detect faults and malfunctions.
- Diagnose issues using computerized testing equipment and determine required repairs.
- Order parts, maintain inventory, and replace defective components.
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, lubrication, and verify emission control systems.
- Document maintenance activities and test repaired equipment to confirm performance.
Required profile
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent experience.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 23 kg, and work in dusty, noisy environments.
- Attention to detail, manual dexterity, and strong oral communication.
Required skills
- Engine repair.
- Computerized diagnostic equipment operation.
- Emission control system repair.
