Development Lead

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Linux Engineer to drive the migration of our core systems from a mainframe environment to a modern, cloud‑native Linux platform. The role combines technical architecture, hands‑on development, and team leadership in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial setting.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and own the new Linux‑based application architecture.
• Implement modern development practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and secure deployment.
• Lead adoption of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) across the stack.
• Define and enforce standards for code quality, testing, security, and governance.
• Recruit, onboard, and mentor a high‑performing Linux development team.
• Guide existing developers transitioning from mainframe and Windows systems.
• Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to define the technical roadmap.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies, including Generative AI, to create business value.

Required profile

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with senior‑level or technical‑lead responsibilities.
• Deep expertise in the Linux ecosystem (RHEL, Ubuntu, kernel) and strong shell‑scripting skills.
• Proven ability to build and scale Docker and CI/CD solutions from scratch.
• Entrepreneurial “founder” mindset with high ownership and bias for action.
• Excellent communication and mentorship abilities.
