Development Coordinator

About the role

The Development Coordinator supports the planning and delivery of development programmes that nurture long‑term relationships with donors, alumni and students at the University of British Columbia. Working within the Development Medicine Operations department, the role contributes to fundraising initiatives and helps ensure smooth programme implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement development programmes and events for donors, alumni and students.
• Assist in the preparation of fundraising plans and materials.
• Maintain accurate records of donor interactions and contributions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align development activities with university goals.
• Provide administrative support for ongoing fundraising campaigns.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in programme coordination or development activities.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Interest in higher‑education fundraising and alumni engagement.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
