Designer (Marketing)

About the role

Optable is seeking a Designer to join its Marketing team in Montreal. You will own the visual language of the company across all touchpoints, from social media and paid campaigns to web pages, events, and internal tools. This is a foundational, hands‑on position that will transition design work from an agency model to a fully in‑house function.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain Optable’s design system, component library, and illustration library in Figma.
• Ensure visual consistency across internal and external assets.
• Develop reusable templates and systematic creative workflows to reduce production time.
• Create social media graphics, short motion animations, paid ad creatives, and email templates.
• Coordinate with freelancers, developers, animators, and video producers while staying deeply involved in execution.
• Integrate AI‑powered design and production tools into daily workflows.

Required profile

• Strong visual design sensibility with a portfolio that demonstrates brand‑centric work.
• Experience moving design ownership from external agencies to an internal team.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced startup environment.
• Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands‑on execution.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Figma for design system creation.
