Design Engineer

About the role

Gumloop is seeking a Product Design Engineer to shape, design, and build high‑craft product experiences. You will own user‑facing surfaces from concept through implementation, blending product judgment, interaction design, and frontend execution.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop polished, user‑facing product experiences across core product surfaces.
• Own features end‑to‑end, from UX exploration to implementation and iteration.
• Use layout, interaction design, and motion to make complex workflows intuitive and fast.
• Contribute to and evolve Gumloop’s design system, component library, and frontend patterns.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams to turn ambiguous ideas into high‑quality experiences.
• Ensure accessibility, performance, reliability, and responsive behavior in all deliverables.

Required profile

• 2–5+ years of experience building user‑facing products in high‑ownership environments.
• Strong product intuition and ability to make thoughtful UX decisions independently.
• Track record of owning product work end‑to‑end with limited hand‑holding.
• Commitment to craft beyond the first 80%, including performance and visual polish.
