Daycare Worker Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Daycare Worker Assistant to support the daily operations of our child‑care centre in Regina. The role involves assisting early childhood educators, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment, and helping children develop physically, cognitively, emotionally and socially.

Key responsibilities

• Assist co‑workers with housekeeping, cooking duties and maintain daycare equipment.
• Bathe, diaper, feed infants and toddlers and guide them in proper eating, dressing and toileting habits.
• Develop and implement child‑care programs that promote physical, cognitive, emotional and social development.
• Observe children for learning or behavioural concerns, prepare reports and communicate observations to parents and supervisors.
• Plan and organise activities for school‑age children before and after regular school hours, including storytelling, songs and crafts.

Required profile

• Certificate or diploma in a related trade; Early Childhood Education (ECE) certificates (levels 1‑3) are preferred.
• Relevant certifications such as Applied Behaviour Analysis, First Aid/CPR, Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis, and Montessori Early Childhood Teacher.
• Experience working with children who have special needs, including mental health, physical, intellectual, behavioural, Down syndrome, asthma, ADHD or other genetic disorders.
• Clear criminal record check, vulnerable sector check and basic security clearance.
