Data Security Analyst – DLP Focus

About the role

Paymentus is looking for a Data Security Analyst to join its Cyber Security team. The role concentrates on Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and supports day‑to‑day operations to protect sensitive information across cloud, endpoint, email and SaaS environments.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, investigate and document DLP alerts and potential data security incidents.
• Tune DLP policies to improve detection accuracy and reduce false positives.
• Support protection of sensitive data on endpoints, email, cloud and SaaS applications.
• Collaborate with Security Operations to analyse root causes and recommend improvements.
• Assist with testing, deployment and troubleshooting of DLP policies and tools.
• Develop and maintain DLP documentation, playbooks, metrics and reporting.
• Contribute to automation and scripting efforts to streamline reporting and workflow integration.
• Support compliance initiatives (PCI‑DSS, SOC 2, GDPR) and respond to audit requests.
• Work with Engineering, IT, Product, HR, Legal and business teams to ensure secure handling of data.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, IT operations or a related technical role.
• Basic understanding of DLP concepts and data‑protection principles.
• Familiarity with cloud and SaaS environments such as Google Workspace, AWS or Azure.
• Experience with security technologies like email security or endpoint security tools.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
