About the role
The City of Maple Ridge is looking for friendly Customer Experience Clerks to be the first point of contact for visitors and families at its recreation facilities. This part‑time position blends clerical, cashiering, and receptionist duties while supporting a safe and welcoming environment for the community.
Key responsibilities
- Greet patrons, answer inquiries, and provide information about programs, services, and facility amenities.
- Process registrations, admissions, bookings, rentals, and fee payments using cash registers and computer terminals.
- Handle cash, issue receipts, make change, and balance cash drawers accurately.
- Assist with program registration, event scheduling, and access to municipal services.
- Support building security by monitoring cameras and following safety protocols.
Required profile
- High school diploma (Grade 12) with commercial subjects or equivalent experience.
- Previous clerical or cashier experience preferred.
- First Aid certification is an asset.
- Ability to work flexible hours between 5:45 am and 11:30 pm, including weekends.
