About the role
We are seeking a full‑time Criminal Lawyer to join our fast‑paced criminal law firm in Aurora, Ontario. The successful associate will work on a diverse portfolio of criminal matters, gaining valuable courtroom experience.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct bail hearings and manage plea negotiations.
- Draft applications, charter motions and other court documents.
- Lead trials in the Ontario Court of Justice (OCJ) and Superior Court of Justice (SCJ).
- Maintain and develop a wide range of criminal case files.
Required profile
- Prior experience practising criminal law.
- Trial experience is an asset.
- Must have reliable access to a vehicle.
- Ability to thrive in a hardworking, fast‑paced environment.
Required skills
- Knowledge of criminal law procedures and Ontario court practice.
- Experience with bail hearings, plea negotiations, and trial advocacy.
