CPA Articling Student – Accounting Internship

About the role

Join Crowe MacKay in Whitehorse as a CPA Articling Student and gain high‑quality practical experience toward your professional accounting designation. You will work under the guidance of partners and senior staff, contributing to a range of accounting and tax engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and supporting documents.
• Prepare corporate and personal income tax returns, including related filings and schedules.
• Assist in the preparation of corporate year‑ends, covering compilation, review, and audit engagements.
• Meet deadlines assigned by partners or senior staff accountants.
• Participate in education, training and professional development programs.
• Work independently and collaboratively under leadership direction.
• Complete additional ad‑hoc administrative duties or assignments as required.

Required profile

• Successfully obtained (or pursuing) an undergraduate degree that meets CPA requirements, preferably a BCom or BBA with an accounting focus.
• Excellent communication, time‑management and client‑service skills.
• Strong commitment to excellence and attention to detail.
• A willingness to learn, prioritize workloads and meet strict deadlines.
• A team player who encourages the success of all.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Basic understanding of accounting software programs is considered an asset.
