Course Lecturer – Third Year Professional Seminar (K/Elem)

About the role

The Department of Integrated Studies in Education (DISE) at McGill University seeks a Course Lecturer to teach the third‑year professional seminar for kindergarten/elementary education students in Fall 2026. The role involves delivering theory‑based strategies for classroom management, curriculum integration, and professional competency development.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver lectures and workshops on elementary classroom practices and curriculum integration.
• Guide students in developing professional portfolios and assessing competencies.
• Manage classroom dynamics and provide feedback on teaching simulations.
• Collaborate with the teaching team and attend coordination meetings at least two weeks before the course start.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (or equivalent professional experience) and a teaching qualification.
• Demonstrated experience teaching in elementary schools, preferably within the Quebec education system.
• Expert knowledge of the course content and the Quebec Education Program.
• High proficiency in French, both spoken and written, to teach the course in French.
• Commitment to work with a team of engaged instructors and availability for pre‑course planning meetings.
